You are cordially invited to An evening with the UW Department of Anthropology Thursday, April 26 6 to 8 PM The Burke Museum 6 to 6:30 PM Meet and greet. Food and wine served, including traditional Coast Salish foods 6:30 to 6:45 Program begins with welcoming remarks from Bettina Shell- Duncan (Chair, Anthropology) and introductory comments on the museum exhibits, Hungry Planet: What the World Eats, and Salish Bounty: Traditional Native American Foods of Puget Sound by Peter Lape (Anthropology and Burke Museum) 6:45 to 8:00 Exhibits open for viewing with Salish Bounty exhibit curators Warren KingGeorge (Muckleshoot/Upper Skagit Indian Tribe), Elizabeth Swanaset (Nooksack/Cowichan/Laq'amel Tribe), and Peter Lape on hand for questions This event is free and space is limited; RSVP is required no later than April 19 by email to anthrsvp@u.washington.edu or by phone to 206.543.5240. The Burke Museum is adjacent to the main entrance of the University of Washington campus at NE 45th Street and 17th Avenue NE. Parking will be available at the museum.
