Coming up this wednesday, we have an amazing opportunity to meet and talk with an urban farming legend, Will Allen. His program in Milwaukee, Growing Power, is an amazing example of the power of urban agriculture, (and compost production, fish growing, apiculture and more) to provide employment, good food and so much more in urban areas, especially blighted ones. Will will be hanging out on the farm from about 1:15 onwards, so please come! The more UW Farmers (or people interested in Urban Ag.) we can get there the better. At the same time, we will be working, and firing the cob oven, so come on by with some toppings. ALSO, due to scheduling constraints, our February All Farm Meeting is being moved to the 2nd wednesday of the month (Feb 10th) at 5 pm in the greenhouse, with an orientation at 4:30. Reminders will be coming out in the next few days.
Thanks,
Brady
ps: his group's website is:

pps: This is a chance you might want to skiip class for!
