Ms. Pennington will be signing her newest book, Apartment Gardening: Plants, Projects and Recipes for Growing Food in Your Urban Home. In addition to her books, Amy is well-known for launching UrbanGardenShare.org and for her business tending edible gardens for Seattleites. City Fruit board members, a representative from the Greenwood Food Bank and potentially a few chefs who helped fund the harvest last year by buying fruit are also excited to share with you an update on City Fruit activities this year. City Fruit is expanding the fruit tree stewards program with the Parks Department, planning for two neighborhood harvests, and growing their roster of tree care and canning classes. Limited light munchies, wine and beer will be available. The event is free, and all donations will support the City Fruit harvest to provide food for people in need in Seattle.
