We are pleased to announce a "WSDA Farm to School Tour" for farmers on
Wednesday, February 17. The event will be a mobile bus tour in starting
and ending in Olympia, WA.

The workshop is $10.00 and includes lunch and transportation.
The purpose of this day-long "on the road" workshop is to help farmers
learn the ins and outs of selling to schools. Traveling from farms to
schools allows participants to talk directly with experienced farmers
who have successfully sold to schools, learn the market requirements and
desired products from school buyers, and connect with other local
resources.
Throughout the day we will also cover a wide range of related topics
such as business and financial planning, licensing, regulations, direct
marketing, insurance, and value-added production.
Participants will have lunch (included in registration fee) at Lincoln
Elementary School with School Nutrition Director Paul Flock.
Transportation is provided by charter bus for the day.
