Good morning, farmers!
This is Catherine, the UW farm fungi committee coordinator. I'm looking for relatively fresh hardwood logs (oak, alder, beech, aspen, etc)-- anything I can get that's non-aromatic (no cedar or pine). We're going to soak the logs and inoculate them with oyster mushroom and shiitake plug spawn. The plugs are already fully colonized with mushroom mycelia, so we need logs ASAP.
Please send me an email if you've got anything that would work, or if you know where I can find some.
