[TheUWfarm] Fantastic Digging and painting tomorrow morn ~

Hi Farmers,

First THANK YOU THANK YOU to those of you who came down to the new site and helped dig this morning! We traced the pipe, witnessed the eruption of a spectacular geyser, and even finished up early.

Also, the Friday Dirty Dozen crew will be doing some sign-painting and chicken-socializing tomorrow (!), along with whatever else folks want to do/needs to be done. Come on down between 9:30 and 12:30 (if you can't make it to the Tukwila work party in South Seattle. :)

Attached is a pic of our super-geyser and one of the diggers/trench (cheesy arm-reach-y-out-y pic, I confess)!

Best,
Rachel

[TheUWfarm] Re: Tukwila Garden work party this Friday!

Hey everyone,

Due to some unforeseen insurance hold-ups, we're postponing the Tukwila Garden work party that was happening tomorrow. Stay tuned, updates will be on the Facebook page.

Happy Farming~

Hey Farmers!

Want to help build a new community garden? I am working with the Tukwila Community Garden - a cool project where 1/3 of the plots are designated for community members, 1/3 for specific partner refugee groups, and 1/3 for garden education at Foster High School (right next door to the garden). They are breaking ground and would love our help with building some raised beds - and we've organized a work party where volunteers (like UW Farmers!) can help build the beds with Foster High School students.

When: Friday, April 29th
Time: 9 - 12
Where: St. Thomas Parish 4415 S. 140th St, Tukwila, WA 98168

We have one car going down from the UW, so let us know and we can get you a ride! Please rsvp on the facebook event page

No need for previous farming experience ;)

Let me know if you have questions!
