Volunteer Hours: With winter basically here, hours have changed to: Tuesdays 2-4pm at Mercer Court, Wednesdays 2-5pm at CUH, Thursdays 9:30-11am (not this week, though!). See you there!
Thanksgiving Farm Stand: Need veggies for your Thanksgiving meal? Buy (super) local at the UW Student Farm Stand. Wednesday, November 27, 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Merrill Commons at the Center for Urban Horticulture.
Work Party: Last one this quarter. Join the UW Farm in the beautiful Washington Park Arboretum for a work party on December 7th, 10:00-3:00pm. RSVP if you're coming--it's possible we will carpool there together.
Compost Crew: will be meeting at the Botany Greenhouse, 8-9am tomorrow (Tuesday).
Seattle Public Schools and Food!: Great opportunity for those interested in public policy. Seattle Public Schools is seeking members for a Task Force to review, revise, monitor, communicate and evaluate policies and procedures governing school food, competitive foods, nutrition education, physical education and physical activity. It's the local response to federal legislation regarding children's health including preventing obesity and nutritional eating. Interested? Nomination forms are due Friday, December 13.
