[TheUWfarm] The Humble Feast: Local, affordable food!

Hey everybody!

Check out the information below about the Humble Feast, a locally sourced and affordable night of gourmet eating, happening on Monday July 23rd!

The Humble Feast is a series of dinner events prepared by Patty Pan Grill, Seattle's oldest farmers'
market concession. The dinners feature local ingredients sourced primarily from the farmers who are
Patty Pan's friends and neighbors at the markets. But the Humble Feast is also an idea, a practical
attempt to answer the question, how can we eat well without busting our budgets?

Some farmers' market organizations and sustainable foods groups host gala dinner events featuring
local celebrity chefs and regional specialties, costing more than many of us will spend on groceries
in an entire week. Patty Pan wants to promote a different vision of eating locally and sustainably.
Farm fresh food is everyday food, in all its glory.

The upcoming Humble Feast dinner will be held at Skelly and the Bean, a community supported
restaurant on north Capital Hill. Zephyr Paquette, the force behind the restaurant, opens her space
on Monday and Tuesday nights for incubator dinners featuring local chefs looking for a welcoming
space to host dinner events. This felt like a great fit for our Humble Feast series.

Come join us for dinner on Monday July 23rd. The menu is:

Lamb and Lentil Fillo Rolls

Seasonal Salad

Twisp Farro Salad

Minted Chickpeas with Summer Veggies

Mixed Berries with Whipped Cream and Toasted Hazelnuts

There will be vegan options available for all menu items.

Cost is $12/head, or $10 if you prepay.

There will be seatings at 5:30 and 7:00.

Skelly and the Bean is located at 2359 10th Ave E.

Tickets are available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/259668
