[TheUWfarm] Work and Harvest Parties on the Farm!

Hello, Farmers!

We have a few excellent farm events coming up, and I would like to tell you about them! 

Firstly, we are having a HARVEST PARTY on Sunday!  We begin at 2:30 at the CUH and go until we're done!  This will be the first harvest party since the beginning of spring where our food will be delivered to HFS - perhaps not Sunday, but the following Monday or Tuesday.  Yes, I know it's the last day of the Capitol Hill Block Party.  That's why you should go earlier in the weekend, and have awesome stories to share while picking basil and pulling up carrots.  Rain or shine, and expect to bring home some locally grown food for your kitchen, as well!  I will be bringing a bunch of bread, and if enough people bring fixings we can relax and have a sandwich picnic in our beautiful surrounds after we've finished the day's work.  If all goes well, you should stay tuned for more harvest parties and check the Google calendar on our website for more updates.

Secondly, next Saturday the 28th we are having a work party!  The Farm is behind on volunteer hours for the UWBG, and so we will be filling as many of those as possible.  Following that, we will be starting plants for fall harvest, amongst other things.  The workparty will be from 11:00-3:00
