[TheUWfarm] Sustainable architecture info session!

Hey friends,

Check out this cool info session Feb 6th on sustainable architecture opportunities in Vermont! This was passed on by Sam, one of the friends of the Farm who helped us get our amazing structure built
at the CUH site by UW's DesignBuild class. There's free pizza!

P.S. Reminder we'll be at the CUH Farm site for our Friday work doing blackberry removal 12:30-3 if you'd like to come! Reply if so for details.

Best,

Rachel

Wednesday, February 6, 2013
6:00pm, 208 J Gould Hall, University of Washington

Come find out about opportunities for UW students to learn about sustainable building and design at the Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Vermont. Yestermorrow's Executive Director, Kate Stephenson, will talk about a variety of ways UW students can learn hands-on skills in design and construction through summer and winter break workshops, internships, and a fall semester program. Current UW students will answer questions about their recent experiences at Yestermorrow.

Come to Yestermorrow to:
• Gain important hands-on skills developing a real-world project
• Explore concepts of sustainability through practice
• Work with expert instructors who are professional designers and builders
• Add practical and relevant experience to your professional résumé
• Open to college students, recent graduates, and professionals
• The only pre-requisite is self-motivation—no previous architecture or construction experience necessary
