It's field trip time! Joe and Celina of Sun Island Farm on Vashon Island have graciously invited us to come visit, learn, and work! Fellow Farmer Joanna Wright has been interning with Joe and Celina this summer and warmly endorses them. :)
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 5TH we plan to make a day of it. Invite friends - this is a great experience for anyone with curiosity about the farms in our area. Please email me at rachel@uwfarm.org to secure a spot. Also, if you have a vehicle to lend please let us know!
ALSO.... if anyone is interested in a spontaneous outing to Brady's farm on Vashon THIS SATURDAY the 13th to dig potatoes, give me a shout! I've heard great things about it from people who've day-tripped there, and Brady says we're welcome anytime, especially if we're willing to dig potatoes!
