[TheUWfarm] all farm meetings??

Hello farm friends!

So I want to use this collective space to brainstorm this idea.... The last few all farm meetings have been a really lovely space to get to know new and interested folks in the farm and to give them chance to learn more about the structure of the farm and various ways to get involved. For example, in our meeting on Wednesday night we went around and said names and had really nice small conversations about leadership and then went through the farm primer so that folks knew more about the different committees, what they did, how to be a leader of those committees, and how to volunteer in general? The All-farm meeting-ness of these meetings have diminished over the past year. They used to be a space for different committees to report back on the work they were doing and to work on different ideas to make our space beautiful, creative, productive, and efficient. After the last all farm meeting Rachel, Sylvia, Julia and I were talking up with this came up with an idea I wanted to run by you all and get feed back on.

What if we had farmer orientations on pizza bake days (The third friday of every month)? We could have tours and some information available and there are lots of folks there to answer questions about how the farm works. And it is such a fun part of the farm. The all-farm meeting would still be open to all including new folks who want to learn more about what's going on the farm, but it would also be a space to settle farm business. What do you all think about that? Let me know!

Best,
Nina
