Despite our current population of bees not making it through the winter, we've got a whole new set coming in soon and we need to get things ready for them! We've got frames to makes, hive parts to paint, observation hive to clean and prepare, bee shed to organize, and trellises to work on. Whew!
If we're really lucky and maybe do a special kind of dance we'll be graced with as much good weather this weekend as we had last weekend, but if not be aware that we will be working outdoors. You may get dirt/ paint/ hive junk on your clothes so dress appropriately!
Work party is starting around 2pm up near the bee shed (near the compost bins/botany greenhouse) and will probably run until about 4 or 5-ish. If you're feeling extra shiny like me, I suggest you spend the morning (11am-2pm) joining the folks working on the CUH space. Contact Rae at raelou@uw.edu for details.
