[TheUWfarm] What's going on at down the Farm

Hey all,

This is an exciting week - we've got a lot going on, and the quarter's almost over!
Here's the list of what's going on this week:

Ginger-ale making: Tuesday, March 9th 11:30a in the Botany Greenhouse. We'll be making a gigantic batch for the pizza bake, so if you have any empty 2-liter bottles, please bring them.

Farm Lunch: Tuesday 12:30pm Guggenheim 218 This seminar is open to anyone interested in farming, food justice (or just food) and it's an hour long. This will be the last of the quarter, but they'll be happening weekly next quarter as well.

Flower parade:
Thursday, March 11th 12:00-1:30pm on the HUB lawn. We'll be giving out flowers and letting people know about the pizza party. If you're free, come hang out, spread the word, and make someone smile with some free flowers.

Edible weed foraging party
Friday March 12th 9:30am Meet in the Greenhouse. We'll walk around campus to pick edible weeds for a foraged salad at the pizza party. They're tasty, and they're free!

Pizza Party!!!
Friday March 12th 3pm-6pm: We're having an end-of-the-quarter bash down at the Farm. There will be all-you-can-eat pizza baked in the Farm's cob oven (suggested donation $5) and homemade ginger-ale, and from 4p-6p there will be music and square dancing. It's going to be a blast, so you should all come down, and bring ten to fifteen of your closest friends :) The more the merrier!

Also, I've attached the weekly to-do list, and here are the hours that there will be either volunteers or interns working on the tasks:

Monday: 8:30a-12:30p, 3p-5p
Tuesday: 8:30a-10:30a, 3:30p-4:30p
Wednesday: 10:30a-4:30p
Thursday: 8:30a-3p
Friday: 10a-12p

Eat dirt!
