This is a great opportunity to hang out, meet people and learn more about local farming.   I hope we can get a good group together to attend.

at the North End Ferry Park & Ride upper parking lot

5pm: Meet & greet, services & information for beginning farmers, performance from Polka Dot Dot Dot

6pm: Spit roasted pig & leg of lamb, raised on Vashon Island, and other farm fresh food

7pm: Premier screening of The Greenhorns documentary

8pm: Live music & square dancing with The Tallboys

    * from downtown Seattle – catch the 4:30pm Vashon Water Taxi at Pier 50

    * from Fauntleroy/West Seattle – catch the 4:40pm

    * from Southworth/peninsula – catch the 5:05pm

    * from Point Defiance/Tacoma – catch the 4:35pm

Thinking of walking onto the ferry? Here's some parking suggestions:

    * on Faunterloy/West Seattle side, park a few blocks north in the Lincoln Park lot; must be gone by 11:30pm

    * on Southworth side, mostly surrounded by residences; check for no parking signs

Bus information:

    * to Faunterloy/West Seattle from downtown Seattle – catch the 54

    * to Faunterloy/West Seattle from Bellevue – catch the 560

    * to Point Defiance from Tacoma – catch the 11 then on the island catch the 118 north
