RFP DEADLINE EXTENDED 2nd Annual Multnomah Food Summit   Grow & Thrive 2025   "Implementing Food System Action" June 3rd, 2011    Requests for Proposals (RFP) for Summit Worksessions deadline extended to May 2, 2011.    Download and view the Request for Proposals    Information Form HERE!   At the first Food Summit we imagined what we could accomplish together.  From that beginning our community created a 15-year food action plan with a shared vision and shared goals. At the 2nd Annual Multnomah Food Summit our community will turn shared goals into action!     The deadline to submit proposals has been extended to Monday May 2nd.   Visit www.multnomahfood.org to submit a RFP and Register!      Summit Details   Where: University Place Hotel & Convention Center (310 SW Lincoln Street, Portland, OR)    When: 9am - 4pm Friday, June 3rd, 2011    Who: Organizations & stakeholders working towards a more local, healthy, equitable, and prosperous food system               Jeff Cogen, Multnomah Co. Chair    Kat West,  Office of Sustainability Director     The Multnomah Food Action Plan   A Tool for Our Community   The Multnomah Food Action Plan is designed as a tool to help focus our community's resources and efforts on community-established priorities so that we plan and invest wisely. Food system stakeholders are invited to align their strategic efforts within the plan and its community-supported vision, food system goals, and actions. Working together we can overcome barriers, forge new partnerships, enact new policies, and raise awareness so that it will be easy for families to choose healthy and locally-produced food.    Click here to read the Plan or Executive Summary. Show your support! Commit to action! Has your organization signed on in support of the Multnomah Food Action Plan? Have you  committed to specific actions or goals? Take  a minute to review your organization's commitment on our website's Supporter's page. If you would like to commit to or refine your specific actions or goals, just fill out another online Declaration of Support.  The Office of Sustainability is mapping your commitments onto the Plan and will reveal the results at the Food Summit in June.
