hello one and all!
this email is a reminder about the "tour of tours" workshop: on TUESDAY APRIL 26 (TOMORROW!) from 6-830 pm, a skill-share for anyone (experienced or not!) interested in leading tours of the farm this season and beyond.
after an overview of farm history for new folks, we will focus our brief time together on sharing current knowledge by touring around the farm together-- listening to the strategies, activities, information and connections experienced tour guides give at different locations on the farm and for different visiting groups AND asking each other for tips or information around these concepts and locations. please come to the workshop with questions about stumbling blocks or curiosities you have encountered in giving tours or, for new tour leaders, questions about what you would like to learn about the farm and be able to share with other visitors.
the following education committee meeting (monday, may 2 at 430) will be a brainstorm of ideas for activities and themes around which we can lead class and age-specific tours. i think this will be a really exciting and formative meeting!!! please put some thought into how the things you love to do at the farm and ways you like to learn can intersect and be shared with visitors and COME ON MONDAY, MAY 2 WITH IDEAS!
