Hello all really exciting stuff coming up read on...

Northwest Common Spaces
The event is from the 21st-23rd (Thursday-Saturday), (for more info look at the antechamber collective website! Awesome program for these three days so many good work shops!. And the kick-off will be Thursday from 11-2. We're going to have a big lunch in the Quad, where groups/orgs each claim a picnic blanket and put up a sign inviting people to come eat/talk with them. We provide free food. Come talk and have fun!

this thursday, chid lounge (in padelford), 7-9pm: Anna (from the co-op) and i are co-facilitating a half workshop/half conversation about student organizing, food activism, and collaborative learning spaces. we will be exploring some techniques and sharing stories about the creation and maintenance of empowering, healthy, and learning communities. i invite you all specifically to come and join our conversation. being involved in the farm has taught me so many lessons and yet there are so many ways to make leadership more transparent and less-hierarchical, to make our organizing relationships stronger, so have us support each other in self-care, etc. these are just a few topics that many of have this year. i truly encourage you to come and see what insights we can bring back to the farm and whatever organizations/parts of your life this is relevant to!  =]

FYI,  There is also a Farm Bill workshop happening. And possibly one (we're still trying to get a room) on Local Food Economies & Diversity by EcoPraxis and CAGJ.

this friday, 10:40-11:40: the co-op/farm focus group is coming by the uw farm for an hour to work and play in the dirt. come by (!) to answer their great questions and to meet some awesome kids.

Organize, collaborate, and learn!
Love,
Nina
