I am starting a series called "Land of the Unsown" on the UW Farm blog about the "weeds" of the UW Farm, their edibility, history, and much more. For starters I will say we have at least 90 species of unsown plants on and around the UW Farm, from 41 botanical families. I have attached Land of the Unsown Volume 1. To see it in blog form:

The blog is a new idea for the farm, and if you are interested in blogging on the site, or making it way better, or think it is a worthless idea, please let me know.
Secondly, as always, there will be an All Farm Meeting tomorrow at 5pm in the botany greenhouse, with a New Farmer Orientation at 4:30. Also we are still looking for volunteers interested in taking on leadership roles for the farm next year, see position descriptions attached if interested. We have had people for volunteer for chicken crew and outreach committee so far. Still need coordinators for Green Team, Compost, Treasurer, Website and Cob Oven.
Thanks, and for those of you getting frustrated with the sheer volume of emails from the farm, please have hope. We are working on a way to consolidate farm information and related events etc, into a very small number of weekly emails.
