[TheUWfarm] Sod Cutting (4/24) Fundraiser for the Grassroots-Spring into Bed (5/8)

Hello Friends and Farmers,
Spring into Bed is a grassroots effort to improve our urban food resilience, capacity, and equity.  In Seattle on May 8th there will be hundreds of individuals building gardens on their own and in groups that day, as well a minimum of 7 Food-Justice Gardens* that will help a low-income family get growing.  If you want to Captain a set of beds, please contact Stephanie.

CEL is one of the captains* raising $1000.  To reach this goal, we have set aside April 24th for a Sod-Cutting-Spree, where we will be cut and roll up as much sod in a day as possible.   We are hoping to do 10-20 yards with our 4 teams.   All proceeds will go towards Spring into Bed.

If you know anyone who thinking about getting rid of their obnoxious lawn once-and-for-all, please have them contact us right away.  Priority will go to groups of neighbors who are in a vicinity for ease of transportation.  More information about specifics can be found here.

Thanks for helping feed your families, community, and region,
