[TheUWfarm] Baking Day-Poetry-Work Party this Saturday!

Hey Farmers,

You're invited to our first-ever cob-oven Baking Day this Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm!

We'll be baking potluck things in the oven (breads, roasted veggies, frittata, stew, scones, muffins, cookies and more), taking advantage of its full temperature range to the best of our abilities. Bring things to bake, bakewares (metal probably best - ceramic/glass just for lower temps), toppings for breakfast pizzas, etc.

There will also be a (really cool) poetry workshop facilitated by Lily Nash:

you are invited
to write of your love
for/with/at/to/from the farm
through a guided one hour process (1-2 pm)
to hold the oneliness
of loving land and words
(and falling leaves(and blades of grass(thus life)))
above is phase one...
phase two: plan and build sculptural houses for the poems
phase three: celebrate, orate the poems and tour the sculptures!

Chicken tractors, compost, and other work-party-type things will be going down as well. (So... I bet you can totally use this for volunteer hours :)

Best in dirt and sun,
Rachel
