Last year I gardened in the back yard of a place up north; the lady is
really cool and easy to work with - she actually gave me much more than
50% of the produce (what we had agreed to). If anyone is interested,
this garden is quite manageable for one person, there is a hose for
watering, and I made raised beds and amended the soil last year. It
gets a lot of sunlight and has a concrete wall that makes it an ideal
location for tomatoes (I was one of the very few who got a ton of
tomatoes last year!). She's very interested in having another person
come in and help out with the gardening, and you can feel free to plan
it all out and plant whatever you want there, she's very accommodating.
If you're interested, her info is:
Kathryn Gilmore - kgilmore522@gmail.com
Her place is near Meridian Ave N & N 86th St, an easy bike ride. And if
you want suggestions or info on what did best there, let me know!
Cheers,
Rachel
