Subject: [Farmvision] Field Trip to an Urban Homestead!

Hi farmers!

I am trying to get together a field trip out to Half-Acre, an urban homesteading project down in Burien. There are a lot of exciting things going on in this space, including a gray water recycling project, a native plant nursery, beekeeping, and a big garden patch! They also have a small model of an aquaculture system that we can take a look at. The idea is to get there in the morning between 9 and 10, get shown around and have an opportunity to ask questions. After that, we'll engage in a work project! We'll also be getting lunch out of the deal. This will be a really interesting exploration in just how much some motivated individuals can accomplish on a small piece of land when they think creatively, and I hope you all can come!

If this sounds like a delightful way to spend a free day, follow the link below and let me know which days will work best for you! With so much activity on the farm, it will have to be one of the last two weekends in the quarter - cutting it a little bit close perhaps, but still totally worth it.
