[TheUWfarm] Fungi on the Farm!

Hello UW Farmers!  I hope your quarter is off to a great start!  For those of you who are either fungi-inclined or are desperate to start growing things in this dreary weather, you may be interested in the new 'Fungi on the Farm' committee.  We will have two goals for this committe - the first and foremost will be to grow edible fungi on the farm, and the second will be examining the plant-mycorrhizal relationships and figuring out how we might implement some of those ideas with our own plants on the farm (this may involve a joint effort between the Green committee and this committee).  We also have an expert mycologist right here on campus willing to help us out, Professor Joseph Ammirati.  Please let me know if you're interested in being on this committee and helping to spread the mycelium!  I will gather an email list and we can discuss when to meet, etc.

Cheers,
Rachel
