[TheUWfarm] MLK day P-Patch WORK PARTY!

"On January, 18, 2010, people of all ages and backgrounds will come together to improve lives, bridge social barriers, and move our nation closer to the "Beloved Community" that Dr. King envisioned. Dr. Martin Luther King devoted his life's work to causes of equality and social justice. He taught that through nonviolence and service to one another, problems such as hunger and homelessness, prejudice and discrimination can be overcome. Dr. King's teachings can continue to guide us in addressing our nation's most pressing needs---poverty, economic insecurity, job loss and education." (mlkday.gov)

Hey everyone,

This monday is MLK day - the perfect opportunity to participate in a day of service.  In light of that, there will be a P-patch work party from 10-1 on Monday.  Afterwards, we were thinking of firing up the cob oven and holding a pizza bake - so bring toppings!  Should be a fun day all around.

(Note: for those who don't know, the P-Patch is located down the stairs a
little bit behind Hall Health.)
