Subject: Seattle Free School Update
Happy New Year and greetings from Seattle Free School!
This year we're really going to push to grow the classes we offer and our
involvement in all the neighborhoods in Seattle and for that we really need
your help. Spread the word by forwarding along this email to your friends,
contact us to tell us how to be more involved in your neighborhood and take
a survey so we know more about what you need to facilitate a class. Let's
make this year the most successful year for Seattle Free School thus far!
Survey- Make your opinion heard!
As you all know Seattle Free School is a collection of people sharing their
skills. We want to make this even easier to do so whether you've facilitated
or not please take a second to fill out our Facilitator's Survey here. We
promise, it's short and won't take much time at all… and we also promise to
listen!
Change of Class Date:
Our class, "From Cheese to Tiramisu" has changed its date. It will now be
on Wednesday, January 27th. The class is still at the Cascade People's
Center and still at 7pm. There's still room to register so sign up now here.
Daytime classes!
You've requested it and now we have them… Daytime Classes!!! We have several
classes happening during the day now including a Keeping Chickens in the
City class and several Facilitators classes. If you aren't able to attend
night time classes a great way to see even more daytime classes is to come
facilitate something yourself and encourage your daytime students to do the
same. Help us grow our class list by sharing your skills. You can sign up
for the daytime classes here.
Russian Cooking Class
Wonder what you missed at our last Russian Cooking Class? Well take a look
at this great blog post from one of our students about the class.
Oh, and for those of you who are kicking yourselves for not going stop the
pain! Irina has another class in the works and we should see it posted very,
very soon!
West Seattle, Columbia City
Do you live in West Seattle or Columbia City? If so we're really trying to
grow Seattle Free School to serve your neighborhood better. What classes
would you like to see? Are you interested in sharing your skills with your
neighborhood? Are there great free places to meet there? Let us know what
you think about growing Seattle Free School in your neighborhood by emailing
us at seattlefreeschool@gmail.com Oh, and to wet your whistle we've got
upcoming classes in both of these neighborhoods (Columbia City posting
soon!) so help us spread the word to your neighbors by posting a flyer or
just forwarding along this email. And if you have skills to share with your
neighborhood please do come to the facilitator classes in your
neighborhood. We can't grow where you are without your help!
